Communications
WCET strives to keep our members and friends informed with the latest news about WCET and advances in e-learning. WCET uses the following avenues to distribute communications to our members.
WCET News Alerts
WCET sends emails of press releases and announcements from time to time to inform members and friends about special events or important news. Both members and nonmembers can recieve these notices if they have an account on the WCET Members' Website.
WCET Online Community
The Online Community is designed for members to talk with each other. Members are encouraged to pose questions and reply to queries. WCET staff and members also utilize the Community to send news to members. Any employee of a WCET member organization is eligible to register for this service. Online community members can receive and send:
Article Digests (compiled by WCET staff)
Twice a month, WCET compiles digests from several sources and narrows them down to news about e-learning, higher education, and educational technology.Member News (submitted by members)
WCET members are invited to submit news briefings on their latest projects, research, or other accomplishments. These will be compiled and emailed to members on a quarterly basis and archived on the Member’s site.e-Learning Events, Publication, and Grant Briefs
WCET gathers information of upcoming events, calls for participation or papers, new publications, and grants and sends it out to members for their consideration. Members are encouraged to submit information to be shared with others.Job Postings (submitted by members)
Members are invited to post job openings in the online community. Announcements will be emailed to community members as well as archived in the forum.Polls
WCET wants to know what you think! Short polls on one topic can produce fascinating insight. Results are emailed to members.
