WCET Consulting : Overview

WCET Consulting (WCC), a service of WCET, provides a range of consulting services tailored to its clients’ needs. WCC supplies an independent perspective and extensive expertise to higher education institutions, organizations, corporations, and agencies requesting assistance in the field of distance learning.

In addition to the information available through membership in the Western Cooperative, some need in-depth advice and assistance to solve problems, create new programs, and evaluate purchases—in short, they need help with the many new challenges resulting from the exploding interest in telecommunicated learning. In response, WCET created Western Cooperative Consulting which has brought enthusiastic endorsements from its many clients.

How it Works

Clients come to Western Cooperative Consulting with unique needs and at different points in their projects. WCC develops a clear understanding of each client’s needs, determines what expertise is needed, defines the appropriate role(s) for the WCC consultants, establishes a realistic timeline, and prices the work in the context of the client’s budget.

WCC prepares a written proposal outlining the scope of work and identifies the consultant or team of consultants and the timeline for the deliverables. Once clients are satisfied that the proposal meets their needs, the proposal becomes the basis for a contract. The term of the contract may be one day or multiyear, depending on the complexity of the work.
